In all the craziness leading up to your wedding day, it's easy to forgot Mom and Dad in all the planning. While this it often the case, be sure to find a few ways to honor them on your big day.
Your gift does not have to be expensive. Even a hand-written note would mean the world to them! Be sure to share a few private moments with your parents before the busyness of the day begins. Taking a few moments to tell them how much you love them and appreciate the support would go a long way.
If you're the groom, you could wear your father's cuff links. For the bride, wearing your mom's earrings could add a special touch that will mean a lot to her. Plus, this could be your something borrowed!
Many brides have their mothers helping them get ready, but consider asking your maid of honor to help with the finishing touches so that you can do a first look with your mom and dad. We promise, this will create a sweet, life-long memory for all three of you!
You could ask your DJ to play their first dance song and then invite other couples to join in on the dance floor. This would make them feel so special and honored by you and your new spouse.
As simple as it might sound, but sure to thank them before you leave at the end of the evening. You could thank them publicly with a toast or by adding it in your programs.
Don't forget, this is a big day for mom and dad. Make sure they feel loved and appreciated.
Happy Wedding Planning!
