When it comes to your single friends, it can be difficult, and sometimes tricky, deciding if you should include a plus one on their invitation.
If they are in a long-term relationship, living together, or engaged, then yes, it would be a good idea to include a plus one on their invitation. If you feel like your single friend will feel awkward at the wedding or reception AND if you can afford to add the extra guest, then do so! If you can't afford it, don't worry about it.
If you are the single friend who did not get a plus one with their invitation, do not question the bride and groom and do not RSVP for yourself plus one.
While we sometimes think "the more the merrier," the budget does not always allow for that. At the end of the day, the bride and groom know their budget and want to see YOU at their wedding. Be respectful and show up with a smile on your face.
